1 off 1960Nm3/hr Hydrogen Generation Plant, designed by Kinetics Technology International B.V (KTI) 1985. The plant was modified in 1987 to increase its output to 1960Nm3/hr. Hydrogen is formed in the plant by combining methane, in the form of natural gas, with steam. The reaction takes place at between 800 and 900degC and is aided with nickel catalyst. The main reaction in the reformer is: Steam + Methane-->Hydrogen + Carbon Monoxide
