Filter Press

Filter Press, Plate and Frame, Recessed Plate or Membrane filter presses as they are also known are batch operated units, in which liquor is filtered through the surface of plates under pressure forming a cake within the supporting frames. The filtrate is collected through special piping and the cake is discharged when the operation is stoped for cleaning. Filter presses are often described according to their plate design hence the varity of descriptions above. The plates can be constructed from steel, stainless steel and polypropylene. Manufacturers include Carlson, Edwards & Jones, Latham International, R & B Filtration, Seitz, Netzsch, JWI and Yabuta.

Membrane Filter Press

Used Membrane Filter Press, built by Hangzhou Xingyan Filter Technology Co Ltd, 2004.  The filter press consists of a mixture of membrane and recessed plates all 1500mm x 1500mm and there are 120 in total.  The plates are of polypropylene construction.  Dimensions: 15500mm long and 2700mm wide.
