Nibbler Mills: Pharmaceutical
Nibbler mills or lump breakers as they are sometimes known are used for the size reduction and reprocessing of agglomerates, granules and lumps for the powder processing industries. Nibbler mills are gravity fed and provide a gentle milling action ideal for soft or agglomerated products. Nibbler mills consist of an open top grinding chamber which contains a rotating shaft to which 3 or 4 paddles are fixed. Material is fed in the top of the chamber and the rotation and angle of the paddles sweep the product against the serrated screen with the reduced particles passing through the holes. Nibbler mills are often used in the chemical, food, pharmaceutical and related industries. Manufacturers of nibblers include Gericke, Powtek and Bepex.
Gerricke Nibbler
Used Nibbler manufactured by Powtek-Gerricke Ltd., 1994, Model N300x680, material of construction 316 Stainless Steel. Complete with 4kw Electric motor (415v, 3ph, 50hz), 4mm screen with serrated holes and a stainless steel stand. Previously used to lump break pharmaceutical powders particle size <10mm. Nibbler is complete with installation, maintenance & working instructions.
