Tray Dryers
Industrial Tray dryers, shelf or oven dryers as they are sometimes known consist of a cylindrical or rectangular chamber containing heated shelves. Trays containing the wet material are placed on the shelves and dried on a batch basis. Drying takes place at a low temperature under vacuum and the evaporated moisture is removed from the chamber by a vacuum pump and condenser. Industrial tray dryers are often used for drying small batches of heat sensitive or easily oxidized material. They are also well suited to materials that need very gentle handling, dusty materials and where material loss must be minimized. Industrial tray dryers are commonly used in the chemical, food and pharmaceutical industries.
