| Scrubber System |
| STK-ID: 1410 Plant Built: 1999 Plant Shut Down: 2008 |
| Technology: Air Pollution Control Ltd |
| Capacity: 267nm3/hr |
Description 1 off 267nm3/hr Scrubber System, built by Air Pollution Control Ltd,1999. |
More Details The gases enter the scrubber and pass vertically upwards through a packed column where most of the contaminates are removed by washing the gases with a dilute reagent solution. The reagent solution is made up in a special charging drum and pumped to scrubber base tank, from where it is recirculated to the scrubber column by the duty or standby pumps. The liquid reagent passes through a heat exchanger before entering the column at a high level. The scrubbed gases continue to be drawn through the column and pass a pad demister which entrains excess liquid. The gases are drawn through the system using extraction fan. |
