Fine Impact Mills

Used fine impact mills or universal mills as they are also known are very versatile and can be used in the size reduction of a wide variety of materials and across a number of processing industries. Typical industries in which fine impact mills are used are the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, minerals, plastics and animal feed industries.

They can be equipped with several, easily interchangeable internal mill elements. The mills can be fitted with pins, swing, plate or beater discs depending on the product to be milled. They are often described according to the type of milling element fitted so can be referred to as pin mills or disc mills. Fine impact mills are high speed mills with one stationary and one rotating element. Material is usually fed through the front door at the middle directly into the grinding chamber where the size reduction takes place.
