Description

Used Silverson L5M High Shear Laboratory Mixer, manufactured by Silverson Machines Ltd, 2008. Model L5M. Serial No. 20289. Materials of construction all wetted parts are 316L stainless steel with the exemption of the bushing which is PTFE. The mixer is finished in a tough, easy to clean, non chip, white nylon coating. The flat base is covered by a removable non-slip mat which is resistant to most solvents. The mixer consists of three sub assemblies: the mixer body, the base assembly and the column unit. A selected mixing assembly and rotor head.screen is then attached to the mixer body. The Silverson L5M high shear laboratory mixer features a digital display unit for rpm, amp and timer, a mode set button, a combined on/off switch and speed regulator, rise and fall control buttons and timer control buttons.

The L5M mixer is fitted with a 250W (0.33hp) electric main drive motor, 240v single phase, 50hz. It has a nominal maximum speed of 8000 rpm (6000 rpm under full load). This mixer comes with a with a general purpose disintegrating head, square hole high shear screen, emulsor screen and axial flow head.The Silverson L5M high shear laboratory mixer is suitable for a wide range of applications – mixing, emulsifying, homogenising, disintegrating and dissolving. It can mix a capacity from 1 ml up to 12 litres. Overall dimensions  940mm height, 300mm width, 500mm depth. This mixer is in excellent condition and was previously used for cosmetics.
